Mary Poppins bag

This is made from recycled fabric – it came from a fabric sample book from a local shop, all the fabrics were either hessian or cotton with oriental symbols and/or writing on them. i couldn’t leave them there, could I?  So this bag is made with two sheets from the sample book, and the red lining comes from some recycled cotton.  There is a frame inside the top, which means the bag, although small-ish on the outside, seems to open up to be enormous on the inside – just like Mary Poppins’ bag – but once it is open, it reminds me strongly of Mick Jagger (in a good way!).
